  1. IGU is certified to operate in Virginia by the State Council of Higher Education for Virginia (SCHEV).

  2. IGU is accredited by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges (ACCSC) to award MBA, MSIT, MSCS, BBA, and BSIT degrees.

  3. IGU is recognized by the U.S. Department of Education as an accredited institution of higher education.

  4. IGU is certified by the Student and Exchange Visitor Program (SEVP) of the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) to issue Form I-20 to admit international students.

  5. IGU is certified by the U.S. Department of State to sponsor the J1 program.

  6. The Department of Education authorizes IGU to enroll qualified Financial Aid students.

  7. The National Council approves IGU for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements (NC-SARA) to offer online courses to the residents of other SARA States.

  8. IGU is approved to offer GI Bill® educational benefits by the Virginia State Approving Agency.
